Student Work
Student work is the heart of any educational program. It is our belief that students will begin to thrive when they feel competent, capable and successful in their academic performance. Let's be honest, wouldn't all of us prefer to control when we are laughed at by our peers. When it comes to Community Day School students it is particularly hard for them to keep up academically when they are removed from class due to poor behavior.

The work linked in this page is all produced by students ranging from the 1st through 8th grades. The identity of these students is being carefully monitored, only students will know that they are the authors. We have chosen not to include any specifics about grade level.

Be assured that all ages of students are capable of creating PowerPoint presentations, word documents and even excel spreadsheets and graphs.

The challenge for all educators who work with at-risk youth is to push students so that when they transition back to mainstream education, they have one less battle to fight. Academics are no longer a form of stress but a sign of success.
