Community Day School
|
Textbooks When your child
enters a Community Day School they will be provided the materials used by
that grade level. Textbooks are very expensive - they average around $90.00 for each one. It is best for you to find a place at home for your child to keep his books so he never loses one.
Each child should come to school with a backpack. Pencils, pens, and a highlighter are very helpful. In the State of California the constitution states that our children will be given a "free" education. This is why you probably have not been asked to bring kleenex, markers or paper to school. Most of the other states require parents to purchase their own materials. There should be a list at your local stores in other states.
Textbook Websites
can be very helpful. Here is a list of the textbooks that are used in our
Community Day School McDougal Littell (6-8 Math and Reading)
Looking for a great company for work that will motivate and remediate your child in many subjects. Look at Steck-Vaughn. Their curriculum is highly motivated and as exciting as you get in workbooks for students.
